Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray spoke at an event marking the birth anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi, where he made a remark about his father Bal Thackeray's criticism of Rajiv Gandhi without facing investigations by enforcement agencies. He, along with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, highlighted the importance of opposition in preventing hasty decisions by the ruling party. Other MVA leaders and NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar were also present at the event. Thackeray emphasized the need to unite against the BJP, criticizing their approach to governance and Hindutva ideology. Kharge stressed the significance of opposition in balancing power and advocating for fair policies in parliament.
